AirAsia Group chief executive officer Tony Fernandes, 53, has married his young Korean girlfriend, Chloe, in France on Oct 14. Chloe, whose last name is only known to her family and close friends, is an actress in her early 30s, according to the Star. Chloe is described to be likeable and personable by people close to Fernandes. The couple have been in a relationship for more than two years before tying the knot.
They had a quiet wedding at the luxury hotel Cap Estel in Cote d’Azur, a posh French riviera town located 15 minutes away from Monaco. The said wedding was attended by 150 people, including AirAsia chairman and Tune Group chief executive Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, CIMB Group chairman Datuk Seri Nazir Razak and former international trade and industry minister Tan Sri Rafizah Aziz.
Photos online show Fernandes in a three-piece suit and Chloe in a floor-length, off-shoulder white gown. News of the quiet ceremony began spreading after pictures of Fernandes and his bride, as well as guests, began appearing on chat apps.
Mr Fernandes has a 23-year-old daughter, a graphic designer in Britain, and a 16-year-old son who is studying in Kuala Lumpur, from his previous marriage.
